Windows 10: Unable to open .bat file

As the title says - I'm unable to open .bat files and it's driving me absolutely nuts*Dinesh Previously I had Windows 7 and all was well until I upgraded. I miss using .bat files so much that if I can't solve this I will seriously consider going back to Windows 7 as I have a full copy of C: Drive before I updated. Anyway, if anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful. Plus I'm not sure if I've posted in the right part of the forum, if I haven't - my apologies (I did do a search first and didn't come up with anything that was about .bat files).


Yeeees I found one workaround that will have to do for now Online bat to exe at Bat To Exe Online Converter | F2KO Software and it worked, mind you Windows did make a bit of a fuss but hey I don't care - I won't let Windows 10 beat me down lol *Party

Windows 10 Read Only issue

I am unable to run the .bat file as an administrator, and when I try to use CMD to open it, it also does not run it. I literally am completely unable to run the .bat file in the folder or in any folders, including my desktop.

 

Open .bat files with Notepad in Windows 10

How do I get Windows 10 to open .bat files in Notepad. It keeps wanting to go to store for an app and of course Notepad is not there. When I right click on the .bat file, "open with" is not an option. What am I missing?
