Windows 10: Unable to open Embroidery Designs

I have a new PC with Windows 10. Previously I used a computer with Windows 7 and had no problems for years. Now, for some reason Windows 10 will not allow me to work with my designs. I thought 10 was suppose to be better and more efficient. I find it to be worse. I spend a lot of money on these designs and find I am unable to use them without much manipulating the embroidery software. The designs are not Apps are Windows states. Please fix this problem. I know many people are having the same problem.

How do I copy embroidery designs from a Floppy to my 5D embroidery program?

I am trying to access some embroidery designs from an old floppy. I cannot open Floppy Drive A to get them into my 5D embroidery program.

I've tried all I know to do without success. Hellp. I need these designs.

Windows 10, downloading machine embroidery designs with JEF extension

I use the Janome 350 embroidery machine. I have not been able to use any design downloads from the internet sites I use since downloading WINDOWS 10. All worked beautifully in Windows 7: download from website, save to computer, save to USB under Janome
design file, JEF, transfer onto embroidery machine, JUST FINE.

Due to this issue, I cannot sew/embroider any new designs. When I download I get a message, "how do you want to open this file?" At that point nothing happens to open the file.

I know (found out after downloading Windows 10 and too late to reinstall Windows 7) that reading the 3 digit JEF (or any 3 digit) was a problem, "Something couldn't read something." I have been advised not to re-download Windows 7, but I have my product
key if MICROSOFT says to do so.

Please help me solve this problem. Exact step by step instructions, directions where to go to get help if needed, and please use simple non-computer language

 

Windows 10, downloading machine embroidery designs with JEF extension

In order to view or edit machine embroidery designs, it is necessary to have the appropriate application installed. I have a complete embroidery digitizer (Janome); but Windows 10 obstinately refuses to allow it to be installed. It worked just fine
with XP, Windows 7 and Vista; I was able to take an original bitmap, edit it and digitize it; then write it to a memory card which my sewing machine accepted. Since I am unable to install this software, I am unable to view or edit any of my own or purchased
designs and cannot create new ones. Will Microsoft buy me a new machine (with a supported digitizer), or at least reimburse me for designs which I cannot use? I suppose not, so maybe they could tell me how to install my digitizer under Windows 10?
