Windows 10: Unable to open https://microsoft-windows.com/direct/p/......................................

Please forgive my posting the same question twice rather than following up on the original question. I tried to click on the link button after DaveM121 replied to it but I now get a similar error message to the original one , relating to DaveM121's post "unable to open https://answers.microsoft.com/thread auth. My Windows 10 is a brand new install on a new solid state hard drive . It is 64 bit, running 32gb of ram. I've tried resetting all my internet settings , changing default browsers, changing search engines . Nothing makes this problem better. It seems that whatever I choose to do only makes it worse.

• Since from when are you facing this issue?
• What happens when you try to access the same websites in other PC?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it help you.

• Open the Microsoft Edge browser. Open a website.
• Click on '. . .' select Open with Internet Explorer
  and check if the issue persists.

If the issue doesn't resolve, try the below steps.

• Press Start, type Internet Explorer and
  select it.
• Press Ctrl + Shift + P, it opens Internet Explorer as
  InPrivate mode. Try to access the website and check if the issue still persists.

  Press Windows + R keys together.
  
• 
  Type dxdiag in the run prompt and hit enter.
  
• 
  Now check for the version of Direct x.
