Windows 10: Unable to open microsoft excel

Discus and support Unable to open microsoft excel in Microsoft Office and 365 to solve the problem; Since I upgraded I cannot open my excel. It was working fine in Win 7.     Unable to open microsoft excel


    Since I upgraded I cannot open my excel. It was working fine in Win 7. It tells me that I need to download Msvcr90.dll. I did and it seemed to work for Word, but it does not want to open Excel.

    Thank you for your help. I tried your suggestion, the computer found no threats. I am still unable to open my Microsoft, PowerPoint or Excel.

    No problems here.

    What Office version? Did you try doing a complete uninstall/reinstall?

    In Programs and Features you should get a choice to either Uninstall, Change or Repair Office. I think that one has to Register a .dll file after getting it in the correct Folder so that programs know about it. Some pages on the subject:
