  1. Unable to open Outlook for Windows Preview, being prompted to sign into my company login.

Hi there, Hope someone can help with this. I recently started getting more prominent reminders on launching Microsoft Calendar that it Microsoft Mail & Calendar will be getting phased out by Outlook for Windows by the end of next year, and offering me an option to "Try the New Outlook". I did decide to give the new Outlook for Windows a go today, but am encountering the problem that Outlook for Windows is forcing me to sign into my company account. But I've only ever used Microsoft Calendar for personal, not work use, and certainly don't wish to use anything least of all a work account

    :)

GUIDE:How to transfer contacts from Microsoft Outlook to Gmail

I'm sitting here in the office, its the end of the year in the school system, and several employees transferring to alternative counties. With this it brings loads of transferring contacts to take with them from their company phone. Well, this one in particular sparked a guide idea. So here it is, How to transfer Outlook contacts to your Gmail account.

Step 1: Sign in to your outlook account.
step 2 In the top left hand corner click File > Import/Export > Export to file > Browse to desired place to save your file > export. Be sure you export the file as .csv (comma separated values)
Step 3 Log into your Gmail account
Step 4 Select 'Contacts' In the subsection you will see a 'Import' button on the right-hand side. Click it.
Step 5 Browse to the location where you saved it > Open it > Click Import.

I would have provided pictures, but I use neither Outlook or Gmail. Hope someone somewhere gets some use from this. *Toast :toast:

  3. Going to local login broke ability login without password prompt

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand how you feel about the situation. We're sorry for the trouble.

    1) Have you set up same password for both Microsoft account and local account?

    1) Open settings and click on accounts.

    2) Click on Your email and accounts.

    3) Now in the right pane click on Manage my Microsoft account. It will redirect to your Microsoft account page.

    4) here click on change password and try to sign in again.

You can also change password by clicking on Sign-in options in the left pane and choose change password in the right pane.

If the issue still persists, you can follow the below steps.

      • Click on Advanced options.

      • Click on Startup Settings.

      • Click on Restart.
