Windows 10: unable to open usb drive files in word excel

i am unable to open ms word/excel/html files on usb drive i am using ms office 2010

and when i try to copy it gives me error

i couldnt open html file in new edge browser but it open fine in chrome

however i can open pdf files on usb drive

one more i thing i just remember now i have samsung j3 smart phone and i uses samsung Smart Switch application which connects to my mobile via usb cable and backsup data, it no longer detects mys samsung mobile when i connect usb cable to it and windows explorer also no longer shows my samsung mobile connected to my computer

however i am able to print to hp deskjet printer through usb cable

Unable to open Excel or Word

I am unable to open a specific Excel File or Excel or Word at all. It shows and error message (-2147163890). Any suggestions

 

Cannot open SkyDrive Excel or Word files

I have a Samsung Focus loaded with 7.5.

I am unable to open any Excel or Word files on my phone that are downloaded from SkyDrive. OneNote files work fine, though. I can open all file types when they are attached to emails. When I try to open the files, I get the error "Can't Download: We're
having trouble downloading this document. Do you want to open it in the web browser instead?"

I have tried clicking "yes," but it does not work there either.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

FIles in Word, Excel and other programmes will not open from the explorer

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and thanks for providing us an opportunity to assist you.

Please follow the steps.

Step 1:

Lets try to disable the DDE option following these steps:

• Click the File tab, and then click
  Options.
• Click Advanced, and then click to clear the
  Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) check box in the
  General area.

Click OK.

Step 2:

If the issue persists, uncheck the compatibility options by doing the following:

Right click on Excel (.exe) Properties > Compatibility > uncheck all the boxes

To access Excel (.exe), open the following location:

Windows 8 32bit: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14

Windows 8 64bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14
