Windows 10: Unable to open User file on old disk drive.

I moved my old C drive to a new computer. I need to get into the Documents file. Now if I select my user name it says "continue" but hangs up.Peter Bresler

Windows old files deleting

I suggest you follow this steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Disk Cleanup, and then, in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.
  
• 
  If you're prompted to choose a drive, click the drive you just installed Windows on, and then click OK.
  
• 
  In the Disk Cleanup dialog box, on the Disk Cleanup tab, click Clean up system files.
  
• 
  If you're again prompted to choose a drive, click the drive you just installed Windows on, and then click OK.
  
• 
  Select the Previous Windows installation(s) check box, and any other check boxes for the files you want to delete, and then click OK.
  
• 
  In the message that appears, click Delete Files.

Disk drive won't open

• Toshiba satellite series
• This is the first time I've tried after installing Windows 10. (I can list off a bunch of other features that have stopped working since the download)
• There is no disk in the drive.
• The only disk drive listed is TOSHIBA MK6465GSXN

• In the troubleshooter, there was no option to "run as administrator."
• I ran it. It fixed something that needed fixing
• Disk drive still won't open.

My CD/DVD/ Drive isn't listed. Apparently all of my devices and commands weren't transfered over during this so called upgrade? All of these issues are making me want to go back to my old operating sysytem

 

How do I open my disk drive???

Open File Explorer from the icon in the Taskbar > right click on the DVD drive > select Eject.

Dell has a list of different methods for you to select from for problems with opening the Optical Drive:
