Windows 10: Unable to "Optimize this folder for" eg. Videos?

The function "Optimize this folder for" eg: Videos does not work. Properties of folder and subfolders of are not changed, they stay default: General items.Resetting folder, restore default does not work. Workaround is to manually change the "view" of each folder eg: from List to Large Icons. Edition Windows 11 Home Version 21H2 Installed on ‎18/‎01/‎2022 OS build 22000.469 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.469.0

Disk optimization scheduling in Windows 10

  In search select Defragment and optimize drives
  
• 
  Click on change settings
  
• 
  In optimization schedule
  
• 
  In frequency select the options accordingly.

Unable to run disk optimization in windows 10

  Are you getting any error message?
  
• 
  Since when are you facing this issue?
  

I suggest you to use Administrator account to perform Optimization and check if it helps.

I suggest you to follow the steps below.

• 
  Go to Search, type services.msc and hit Enter
  
• 
  Make sure that following services are set to Automatic:
  
• 
  Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
  
• 
  DCOM Server Process Launcher.
  
• 
  RPC Endpoint Mapper.

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
