Windows 10: Unable to Pair Moto Phone with Windows PC

My Moto g Pure sees my pc but doesn't pair with it.I see 'Pairing...' but nothing happens for a long time.I had no issues pairing the phone with my tablet.I plug the phone in to the USB and all it does is charge. No prompt to access the phone from the pc... nothing.Is there a setting in Windows I've overlooked? I do have Bluetooth on.James

I've had a Moto for 2-3 years now. Mostly like it but like all cell phones it has it's quirks. Mine's a Moto G4 and is synced to "Your Phone" on my Win 10 PC. I can send and receive text messages from my PC via the Moto link which I like. I can type a lot faster and more accurately on my PC keyboard than on the phone.

 

Pairing a phone to a car

One thing I would add ... There should be a list of paired devices on the phone, If so it would be best if you "UnPair" any devices listed on the phone as well as the phones shown on the Car. To Unpair a device from an Android Phone go to Settings, Bluetooth and there should be a list of paired devices - at the right of each paired device is a "Cog" icon click on this and click on the unpair option, repeat for any other unneeded devices.

Sometimes paired items get out of sync and both sides need to be removed to re-pair

 

I am unable to transfer photos from Moto phone to PC.

Nobody can guess how you've been trying to transfer your photos and what happened when you tried, nor can anyone guess which Moto you have.

Here's a method that works reliably for all phones, regardless of brand: Upload the photos from your phone to cloud storage and then download them to your PC. Since Moto is an Android phone, you could upload your photos to Google Drive, and them download
them.
