  1. Unable to passthrough Intel® UHD Graphics to a Hyper-V Using DDA on Windows11 Pro

    I have an Intel N100 CPU machine with an integrated GPU Intel® UHD Graphics running the latest Windows 11 Pro. I created a VM with Hyper-V and want to pass through the Intel GPU to this VM using Discrete Device Assignment DDA. This would enable the VM to utilize the GPU for enhanced graphical performance. Based on the system requirements for Hyper-V on Windows Pro, in order to perform DDA, the processor must have Intel's Extended Page Table EPT.My Intel N100 CPU supports EPT:Ref : Intel Processor N100 SpecificationsI am following the Official Instructions for Deploy Graphics D

  2. Hyper-V DDA does not work

    I ran the survey script and I get the following error;

    BIOS kept control of PCI Express for this device. Not assignable.

    Unfortunately, this machine doesn't support using them in a VM.

    To use SR-IOV on this system, the system BIOS must be updated to allow Windows to control PCI Express. Contact your system manufacturer for an update.

    SR-IOV cannot be used on this system as the PCI Express hardware does not support Access Control Services (ACS) at any root port. Contact your system vendor for further information.

    My current setup is;

    CPU:- Intel Xeon e5-2680v2 (Supports all Virtualisation elements https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...-processor-e5-2680-v2-25m-cache-2-80-ghz.html)

    Ram: 32gb Corsair Vengence

    Motherboard: Asus P9X79LE

    HDD: 2 x 500gb Kingston A400

    GPU 1: Nvidia 1050ti 2gb gddr5

    GPU 2: AMD Radeon HD 6670 1gb gddr5 - wish to passthrough this

    Sound: Realtek onboard 7.1 hd audio

    Lan: Realtek 1gb

    Operating System: Windows Server 2019 Standard

    I have enabled hyperthreading, intel virtualisation and vt-d, I know I can do passthrough as I tested with esxi 6.5 update 1 and I can passthrough graphic cards, sata drives, audio and usb connections.

    Does DDA require me to enable anything else in bios?

  3. Hyper-V causes graphical glitches and video driver crashes w/ Intel HD Graphics 520

    The Lenovo Edge 2 1580 comes with an Intel HD Graphics 520 graphics chip. I purchased the Windows 10 Pro upgrade from the Store app, and enabled Hyper-V. After I did so, I ended up with graphical glitches and graphic driver crashes -- this happened on
    the two most recent WHQL drivers, as well as the latest Intel-signed beta driver.

    I tweeted @IntelSupport and they suggested contacting Microsoft, because Hyper-V is the difference between a working/non-glitchy system and a crashy/glitchy system. (The Lenovo hardware diagnostics app, "Lenovo Solution Center", also appears to be affected
    and reports IRQ failures in the system board tests when Hyper-V is enabled, but returns to all tests passed status when the Hyper-V feature is disabled.) I called the Answer Desk, and they gave me a phone number to Pro Support that the phone company says
    has been disconnected.

    I don't know if the problem is Microsoft's or Lenovo's or Intel's, but I figure I'll post it here so that whatever's going wrong can (once appropriately prioritized) be addressed. All I know is that this renders Hyper-V an unusable feature for me, and I
    am forced to use an application-level virtualization platform as a result. I also can't use VirtualPC, so I'm forced to use a non-Microsoft solution here. Ultimately, this reduces the value that I obtain from the Windows 10 Pro upgrade.

  4. Unable to passthrough Intel® UHD Graphics to a Hyper-V Using DDA on Windows11 Pro

    Hyper-V and Intel Virtualization

    I am running Windows 10 (build 16299) on a Dell XPS 15 9550. When I enable the Intel virtualization technology and install
    Hyper-V the laptop blue screens on startup every time. The only way to recover it is to disable the Intel VT in the BIOS. I can then start the machine but can't use Hyper-V as it needs the Intel
    VT. I can then uninstall Hyper-V and re-enable Intel VT and everything is still fine. What I can't do is use both, which I need to do.

    I've seen a few suggestions, but none of them work. The only suggestion I haven't tried is removing my virus checker, which simply isn't an option.

    Can anyone help?
