Windows 10: Unable to play audio due to "0xc00d5212" error.

Hi I am Tejash. I don't remember if I have changed any settings or installed something dangerous that would harm my PC, but today while is was online in lecture I ws unable to hear anything I was using Chrome Browser which was working well. I thought my headphones have gave out but they are working all good. Finally I tries to play audio in Groove Music Application. An error "0xc00d5212" came up. I visited several websites to fix it but no luck! I hope microsoft community will help me out soon. I am facing problems and want the solution as quaick as possible.

Windows 10. Cannot play AVI file error 0xc00d5212

Hi Anon9999999999999999,

Getting the error 0xc00d5212 when playing AVI file is usually caused by outdated display driver or has something to do with the video codec. Since you've already updated the driver for your
Intel HD Graphics 630, then I suggest that you uninstall your audio drivers and let Windows reinstall the appropriate version as multiple audio drivers might be installed on your system. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Windows key and click Device Manager.
2. In the Device Manager, expand the Sound, video and games controllers, right click on any 3rd party audio device, and click
   Uninstall.
3. In the Confirm Device Uninstall window, make sure to check the
   Delete the driver software for this device option, then click OK.
   

4. Restart your computer.

Once your computer is up, try playing an AVI file using the Movie & TV app and see if it works.

In case the issue persists, please check if there are any Windows updates available. Navigate to
Settings > Update & Security and click on Check for updates
to install any pending updates. Reboot your computer after the update and try playing any AVI file.

Audio not playing

I have a Toshiba Laptop with windows 10 home. When I run songs, audio is not playing.

A message is coming as "This item was encoded in a format that's not supported . 0xc00d5212 "

I visited the web site you suggested and discovered that Apple no longer supports QuickTime for Windows. Therefore I do not wish to download this software! I am trying to solve my issues with the
Missing codec error 0xc00d5212 so that I can remove the videos from my iPad but still be able to view them. Thank you for all the suggestions you have provided.
