Windows 10: Unable to play video games on an ultrawide monitor since upgrading to Windows 11

I upgraded to Windows 11 a few months ago. It has completely ruined my gaming experience-- I can no longer play my favorite games.I was only able to play Dota 2 and League of Legends in the past by playing on borderless windowed mode and moving my taskbar all the way to the left or right side of the screen. If the taskbar was at the bottom of the screen, it would hover over the game's borderless window and obviously cause issues when moving one's cursor to the bottom of the screen and potentially clicking.In Windows 11, I am unable to move the taskbar to the left or right of the screen. Cuz we all live in a retarded world where we can have 2560 x 1080 ultra wide screen in safe mode but not in regular mode!!

But seriously how do I have ultrawide screen only in safe mode but not in regular mode?

How does safe modes generic **** driver provide better support?

is it becuase its stuck in 8 bit color mode?

I recently updated to Windows 11. I have a LG 34 inch ultrawide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio, 2560x1080 resolution). Windows 11 selects the generic Pnp monitor driver, which has a max 1920x1080 resolution, so the screen is fuzzy and stretched out - really unusable. LG does not have an updated driver, Windows 11 has all updates installed has no updates available related to this driver and it will only select this as the recommended resolution.

Is there no support for 2560x1080 HDMI monitors in windows 11?

 

Dual monitor or ultrawide?

Hey guys. I am stuck between decisions. I plan on getting the GTX 1180 16gb (planning ahead) and I do alot of gaming. While I do like ultrawide but I don't want to compromise frame rates. I would like to use obs or xsplit for streaming games for fun. Thing is, I would like to do 1440p gaming. I just got myself 8700k with 16gb 3200mhz trident z rgb ram. I have my system oc to 5.0ghz.

So the real concern is, which is more preferably reasonable? A 3440x1440p g sync monitor or 2x 1440p monitors (1x g sync tn for gaming and 1x ips for obs or xsplit and viewing comments). I can always view the comments on my phone so I don't care about viewing just comments on a separate monitor.

And if I do go dual monitor, do I have to get both of the same monitors and samw resolution? Suggestions? Tips?
