    Has anyone else seen this or experienced it? I have set "Device Installation Settings" No in the System Properties options.

    I've gone as far as removing the drivers with DDU from guru3d in safe mode as well. The GPU driver will still install one of two ways. The first is if I manually go to Windows Updates it will install if I check for updates. Or the driver will auto install at some point at random.

    I would like to prevent both of these actions and the Device Installation Settings seem to have no effect. I also want to avoid setting any group policy's as I have Windows 10 home.


    Any ideas? Currently using the Windows 10 Creator update on a fresh install done with the USB media creator tool today.

    Hello,

    Windows 10 apparently has no automatic drivers for this gpu, so if I plug it in to install, all I get after the boot process is a black screen where the logon screen should be.

    I am then, obviously, unable to install the nvidia drivers per se, as I need to login onto windows for that (and, smartly, the drivers won't install if there is no nvidia product connected).

    A solution that was proposed was to revert to Win 8.1, then install the gpu, then re-upgrade to windows 10. This is troublesome.

    Is there anything else I can do to be able to install this card? Or will there ever be some kind of support for this legacy product on windows 10?

    Unable to install Windows/Critical Process Died

    I bought a new GPU (1080 upgrading from a 970). I was attempting to reinstall drivers after instructions recommended i uninstall drivers from old GPU. When doing so i was not able to install drivers and was constantly getting BSODs with different error
    message. I decieded to attempt to completely reinstall windows but now i get the Critical Process died and unable to install windows error. Only thing i can do is access the BIOS. Please help me.
