Windows 10: Unable to print using Windows Mail or Notepad

Hello, I am using Windows 11. The printer itself is working and I'm able to print documents through word or excel, or give a test print, however the first time i try printing an email from Windows Mail or a text file through Notepad, I will get a prompt that immediately disappears, if i try again, nothing happens, and it doesnt sent anything to the spooler either.I've very recently done an OSRI already, and don't want to go through another one. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver, setting the default printer, checking UAC settings, reinstalling windows mail through powersh

Unable to print from Notepad

Hi Paul,

Welcome to Microsoft community.

Since you are unable to print from notepad , this issue could be due to corrupt or incompatible driver.

Please follow the steps to uninstall old printer driver.

a) Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard.

b) Click on Device Manager from that list.

c) Search for the Printer device from the device list, right click on it and then select Uninstall.

d) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.

Download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website and install.

  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the Printer?
  
• What happens when you try to print?
  
• Are you using any browser or specific app to print the bank statement?
  
• Did you try printing a document file (like PDF, word or notepad)?

Printing notepad

Is the printer listed in the Printer window when you click File > Print?

Or is the printer window not appearing at all?

Is the printer online?

Can you print from other programs to that particular printer?

Browse to the Notepad text file, right click it then click Print.

Does it print or not.
