Windows 10: Unable to purchase on MS store or Xbox using my debit card

Hi everyone,can someone help me out with this issue, i know it's a known issue in India that debit cards don't usually work properly with Microsoft payments. I have a Bank of India Mastercard and I'm not able to add or pay using the same.I have searched online for numerous solutions but still nothing works.can someone suggest me -1. Which Indian cards work well with Microsoft payments.2. Can I add the same card with any other method.3. Any alternative methods to purchase on MS Store or Xbox.4. How & can I contact Microsoft officials to add my debit card through some manual process.5. Anyth

Unable to add debit card to WP7/Zune account

So some history: I have a new Windows Phone. I already had a Zune account but it was under a different login email and was never used as a live.com account. I did purchase music with that account for my Zune player. I have add it for a few years. I wanted
to create a new live.com account for my Win Phone/XBox and keep everything tied together. I deleted the debit card from the old account.

I have not been able to add it to the new account. All the billing info is correct. I'be tried adding it throught the Zune software, zune.net, billing.ms.com, even through xbox. Error comes back as an invalid credit card, or try later.

Under ms billing I am unable to add a new card. there is no option to. It just lists my old removed card. It also lists a paypal account that I have used to purchase more points with to by music. That option does let me change the paypal account. I am not
sure why it still has that debit card tied to my new live.com account except that it is bound to the address. Still odd being that this is a new account. Also just to note: card works fine for everything else.

I'm guessing because I deleted the debit card from the old account it will not let me use it on another account. Is there a way to remove that "removed flag" and let me add the debit card. Any other ideas? I basically can't buy apps or games for my new phone.
Also I was going to purchase an XBox, but I am holding off until this is solved.

 

Purchasing music with a debit card

I've got two cards registered with my Microsoft account:

• A paypal account
• A debit card.

I'm trialling a Nokia Lumia 920 for a month. As part of this, I thought I'd try downloading something from the music store, as it's a pound or two cheaper than the Apple Store and I want to listen to it out and about without a Music Pass and additional
XBox Live membership. But it says I don't have a credit card registered - even though I have two payment methods which I've used to buy microsoft apps for the phone.

Is this a problem? Or is microsoft seriously telling me that, unlike all of its competitors, you cannot purchase music to your phone in the UK without first acquiring a credit card and (therefore) acquiring interest if you're not in the habit of
making an additional visit to your credit card company's website in order to transfer the money between accounts. I long ago ripped up all of my physical credit cards.

I wouldn't mind, but because I've got this particular album to stream in 'My Albums' on XBox Music (free trial) on my Windows 8 laptop, it doesn't even give me the ability to purchase there.

 

how to pay or purchase app by debit card.

So I do not believe there is an option to pay via debit card. On my account in the USA, I only have the option to use a credit card or PayPal.



That said, I am not sure about this but I believe that if you set up a new payment option and choose credit card (assuming debit card is not an option) and input all the information it should work. Make sure the following is true:

• your debit card must have either the Visa or MasterCard logo on.
• Your debit card cannot have restrictions on subscription-based internet purchases. If you are not sure whether your debit card has restrictions on subscription-based Internet purchases, contact the financial institution that issued the debit card.
• You must have more than one dollar in your debit card account.

Give it a try and see if it works ...
