Windows 10: Unable to purhase from kid account despite having funds

Hi,


My kid despite of having founds on account is unable to buy Minecraft coins.


I got request in her account view.

Account wallet balance is 54,01 and item cost is 45,99.



However when I click "Allow" it takes me to screen where I need to add money despite of having sufficient founds on kid account.




I also disabled all age restrictions on her account and allowed her to buy without asking but then account was showing balance of only 4,01 50 that I added was not visible.

I got this transaction in my account history.




Please advise.

Using funds from your Microsoft Account to fund Kids Accounts

Does anyone know if you can use funds on your Microsoft Account to add money to your kids' accounts? I went in to try and send $10 to one of my kid's account but the only options are the saved card and Paypal - the Microsoft Account (with more than that)
is grayed out. Does it take a day or two to allow you to transfer it? Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Thanks!

 

Why can't I use my own Microsoft Account Balance as the payment method to add funds to the other Accounts within my family?

I'd like to add some funds to my kids account.

Family all setup.

Add funds link... no problem.

Change Payment method... ok.

On that page, my Microsoft Account is listed as one of my payment methods and it has a healthy balance.

However, that payment method is greyed out (not a selectable option).

Why? If I've got funds, why can't I transfer them to my kids to spend in the store on their games and their devices?

 

Can't add funds to Kid account

I keep getting this error when trying to add funds to my kids account. I've done this multiple times in the past with no issue. I can also purchase using the payment options I have set up, so they are working.

Seems like this is a pretty common problem looking at Google.

Any help is much appreciated.

Note: the 'please try again later' message has been there for about a week.
