Windows 10: Unable to put accent on vowels written via shift key

Hi, I am using German keyboard layout for day-to-day tasks and I am unable to put accents on vowels written while shift is pressed.I was able to write them previously but I just recently noticed that I am not able to.How to replicate the issue: 1 Use German keyboard layout2 Press ´ key3 Press any vowel while Shift is held downIt doesn't work. It works as intended if used with Caps Lock.However if Caps Lock is ON then I can't put accents on lower case vowels written while Shift is held down.Also I can write À È Ò Ù Ì with shift held down all the time, but not Á É Ó Ú ÍThese letters are very

how can i type spanish accented vowels?

is there a simple way to generate an accented vowel while using ENG keyboard? i also installed espanol keyboard, but cant see how to make accented vowels. i want to be able to add accented vowel just occasionally, if typing to spanish friends, not in word
docs, but in email and facebook etc

N97 - QWERTY Keyboard: how to write vowels with accents?

I'd like to know, when using the hardware qwerty keyboard, how to write accented vowels.



Example:



words like: citt , qué, periodicit , été, ....



I tried in many ways but apparently there is no way to do it, the only way seems to be having the touchscreen keyboard and cycling through a key till the accented vowel appears, which is the way it was done with any other t9 nokia phone.

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are facing issues with using Spanish accented vowels on Windows 10.

I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps. We will require keypad numbers on the right side of the keyboard to perform below steps.

First we need to add Spanish language pack on the computer.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type “Language” without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

3. Click on Add a language.

4. Search for Spanish language from the list and click on Open
button.

5. Then select the Spanish (spain) and click on Add.

6. Try to change to Spanish language mode from taskbar.

7. Press and Hold Alt Key. Then tap on code given provided in the below link. Check if it helps.

For example, if you want to type accented a captital letter in Spanish.

Press and Hold Alt key. Then tap on numbers: 0913 which is available at the right side of the keyboard.
