Windows 10: Unable to RDP to Windows Server 2016 after latest update Oct 2020

We have a new Windows 2016 server, hosted under VMWare ESXi 6.5u1. The host does not have a 3d accelerator, and none is presented to Windows 2016

I have a Windows 2016 Server 1607, hosted under VMWare ESXi 6. The host doesn't habe a 3D accelerator and none is presented to Windows 2016. After couple of weeks I doing an update for my Windows and I reboot it. After boot up, I was unable to do any remote desktop to my Windows 2016 Server


These the following error logs on event viewer are :

Error,10/19/2020 4:32:12 PM,Microsoft-Windows-RemoteDesktopServices-RdpCoreTS,227,RemoteFX module,'Failed to get property Disconnect Reason' in CUMRDPConnection::Close at 2212 err=[0x80070057]


I have red some steps on the forum like disabling RemoteFX on regedit/gpedit but it doesn't change the errorlogs. Any suggestion & solution would very appreciated.

Cannot RDP in to Windows Server 2016

Go to windows server 2016 and log in directly.

Go to server manager.

Go to Local Server

Enable RDP, this is not turned on by default on windows server 2016 anymore because it is always best to use winrm or powershell to manage a server remotely.

RDP is a dangerous port to keep open on a server.

Limit windows server 2016 RDP sessions to one

Hi,

By default the number of available RDP sessions is 2, but I'd like to limit the number of RDP sessions of a windows server 2016 to only one (even if the user is an administrator). ¿Is that possible?

RDP from Windows 10 to Server 2016

Hi,

Anyone experiencing issues with RDP from Windows 10 to Server 2016?

I'm getting "An internal error has occurred". From other versions(7, 2012) to 2016 it works fine. Couldn't find any info about this specific issue anywhere.
