    'unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup restore error code is 5 ' I am facing this error while using this command lodctr.exe /R in cmd when i try to install Acer nitro sense software . Please help me

    Performance Base counter is corrupted for some reason and while i rebuild the counter, it's giving error as error code 123.

    It's windows 11 machine, performance Base counter is corrupted and while i rebuild it is giving error code 123, tried all microsoft recommendations still no go!!

    Any help on how to repair the base counter or recovery from scratch.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Performance Base counter is corrupted for some reason and while i rebuild the counter, it's giving error as error code 123.

    Thanks for your reply, yes I followed that already and it stops at rebuilding counter itself with same error code 123
