Windows 10: Unable to recover my backup files from previous version of windows

I forgot my windows 10 login password and my pin suddenly stopped working, so did the face unlock feature. The only roundabout i could see was to install a new version of windows from using a bootable flash drive. The only problem that remained was that there were many precious image and video files on my laptop and i needed a backup of all that. luckily, while installing the new windows, dell supportassist showed me the option to create a supportassist backup for all the files that existed. I chose that option and the new windows version got installed, factory resetting everything while creat

Unable to revert to the previous version of windows

Unfortunately I can't read that - not being added thus:

I can't click it to expand it. Also, presumably in dark mode, the blue on black is hard to read... often such dark mode screenshots are, alas. Just the most recent items at the top... *** Actually, simply the fact that you have a long list of updates AFTER having done the in-place upgrade repair suggests it didn't complete. If it had, there might have been one- perhaps 2 at the most if Windows Update had run afterwards. That's consistent with no changes having been made as reported by Windows. It doesn't line up with what you describe as having happened.
