Windows 10: Unable to Remove a Former Work Account

I am trying to remove a former work account from my personal Windows 11 machine and I am unable. It only allows me to remove it if I log into the account but I no longer work at the company and my account has been closed. I simply want to remove the account on my machine.

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Are you logged in to the PC with a local/Microsoft/Work Account user account?
  
• Is the PC connected to a domain/organization network?

Let us try these methods and check.

Method 1:
Converting the User account

If you are able to login to the PC with the account, then convert this account to a local Administrator account and then convert back to Microsoft Account with the correct or a different email account.

Steps to covert to local account.

1. Press Windows + I key to open Settings.
   
2. Select Accounts and click on Your info from the left pane.
   
3. Click on Sign in with a local account instead.
   
4. Click on Next. And follow the onscreen steps.

Note: Don’t set a password.



Steps to covert to Microsoft Account.

1. Press Windows + I key to open Settings.
   
2. Select Accounts and click on Your info from the left pane.
   
3. Click on Sign in with a Microsoft Account instead.
   
4. Click on Next. Enter the correct Microsoft Account.
   
5. Follow the onscreen steps.

Method 2: Creating a New User account.

If you are unable to perform Method 1, then create a new user Administrator account and later sign in with a Microsoft account you prefer. Refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.

Unable to remove icons on the Taskbar with a New User Account and hit/click the Start Button

Hello,

So I'm on Build 1607 and i am unable *To remove icons in the Task bar and hit/click the Start Button* and why is that when I* the Admin. can?

I just made this Account for my Sister's Kids. I even made them as Admin. but still

Edit: NVM, this Thread can be Deleted. I Deleted the Account and made a new one and it works now. Weird!
