Windows 10: Unable to remove old Creative driver

Like apparently many others, I got a message from Security Center today that memory isolation can't be turned on due to incompatible drivers. I found the issue to be a very old Creative driver for a webcam I haven't used in years.I've tried the following steps:1. I found it in the Uninstall list, but got an error when trying to uninstall.2. I then found the actual driver file in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\v0770vid.inf_amd64_22c2fa1486263022, but cannot remove it due to permission. Meaning - I am the admin of the PC, I have local admin rights, but I am unable to remove the f

Logitech or Creative driver-problem?

With my simplistic logic, I would remove the Logitech Keyboard driver, plug in a simple standard Keyboard. Then re-install the Creative SoundBlaster driver, make it the default then see if that works OK with standard Windows volume sliders.

If it does, then install and use the Logitech Keyboard driver.

If the Logitech Keyboard driver/functionality is not compatible then that should show up at the final step.

Whether you can do something about that is another matter with an updated driver, or even an older driver.

 

Unable to remove old administrator account.

I understand that you want to delete one of the old administrator accounts from your computer. If you want to save the data from the old Administrator account, I would suggest you to copy the data from the old user account from
C: Users\<Old User Account> and move it to your backup drive or folder in a different location, before deleting the account.

I would also like to know what exactly happens when you try to remove the old Administrator account from your PC.

To delete an Administrator account from your PC, you will have to login to another user account with
Administrator access as User Accounts cannot be deleted through a Standard account.

Once you have logged into your new Administrator account, you can follow the steps mentioned below to remove the old Administrator account from your PC. To do this, by

1. Login to the new Admin User Account that you want to keep.
2. Tap on 'Windows + I' on the keyboard.
3. Click on 'Accounts'.
4. Now click on 'Family & other users'.
5. Select the old Administrator account from the list.
6. Click on 'Remove'.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
