Windows 10: Unable to remove US Keyboard / English from list.

Hello,


I have a Surface Book 2 and lately this keyboard has been appearing for some strange reason: English US / US Keyboard.





My Surface Book is the Spanish variant, and I use both English and Spanish but always with the Spanish keyboard. I have gone into the keyboard settings but English US Keyboard is not listed. I have also followed these instructions from this link:

With the script, no luck. Or even manually deleting it from the regedit and restarting, no luck.


Or just plain settings, not even an option:




No luck, either.

Keyboard in input field problem (not english nor french)

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

1. What is the make and model of the computer\keyboard?

2. Have you tried connecting other keyboards and check if the issue persists?

I suggest you to remove the other keyboard languages apart from English Language
and check if the issue still persists.

Follow the below steps for the same.

• Type Windows + X and then select Control Panel
• Select Languages.
• In Keyboard layout select the language.
• Select the other languages apart from the English language in the input method and then select Remove.
