Windows 10: Unable to Remove Windows Subsystem for Linux

Windows Version: 1809 (OS Build 17763.1098)

I am trying to setup Ubuntu 18.04 LTS in WSL. I have enabled WSL

I have gone to the Windows Store and downloaded Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, but when I click launch I get the following error

I thought there might have been an error when I originally enabled WSL, so I tried to disable it, but when I do I get this error

Unable to enable Windows Subsystem for Linux

I understand that you have downloaded Linux Terminal from Microsoft Store and you are getting an error when running the PowerShell command. However, as per the article

Windows Subsystem for Linux Installation Guide for Windows 10 you need to run the PowerShell command first and then install the required Linux distribution from the store. I suggest you to try running the PowerShell command
first and check.

cant install gcc in ubuntu in linux subsystem

sir,

i have successfully updated to anniversary edition and opened linux subsystem. but it is unable to download anything in the linux subsystem. for example i wanted to download gcc in the linux subsystem but it is unable to connect to the server and is just
trying to connect.

i had upgraded my windows just for the reason of built in linux if it just could'nt download simple stuffs like gcc then what is the use. is there any solution to this problem please reply.
