Windows 10: Unable to reset Windows 10

I have a laptop that was purchased with Windows 7. It was later upgraded free to Windows 10 Home. I just wanted to reset it to give it to my daughter to use, so I chose "Reset my PC". I chose to "Remove everything" but did not choose to wipe the drive.When I was finally shown the login screen, the users that were on the laptop before were still there which surprised me, but it is not possible to log on to any of them. Windows just shows the message "The User Profile Service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded."If I start in Safe Mode, I can log in to an account, but logging o

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
