Windows 10: Unable to restart my Lenovo thinkpad P50

Hi, I tried downloading a game from the epic game launcher on my Lenovo thinkpad P50 but my PC keeps shutting down. I cannot restart it, everytime I try I get the Critical_process_died message and then I get stuck on the restart page for hours on end. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this. Thanks

Hi, i have a Lenovo Thinkpad p50, when i start the laptop, i had a error with windows "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart", i want to know do i need to repalce the hard drive and reinstall the windows?

And i found the hard drive replace guide

It is possible you may have better luck by downloading the fingerprint driver specific to your device from the manufacturer.




You can perhaps check the version installed with that from there.

Presumably there's no driver missing in your Device Manager?

Noted your laptop seems to be from around 2016. (Just FYI I'm using a 2nd hand Lenovo t440s and its fingerprint driver works - 21H1).
