Windows 10: Unable to run or install programmes as administrator

Hello, I am currently having an issue where any executable I run as administrator fails with the following "C:\exampleexecutablepath.exe the specified path does not exist, check the path and try again"

I have followed the common advice and ensured the path is correct, have tried running executables in safe mode but that also causes the same error. I have tried disabling startup programs and have ensured my account is an administrator. I have also tried running SFC and CHKDSK in safemode which both fail. I even tried adding a new local account but that also fails.

Any suggestions?

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

Method 1: Clean boot

I suggest you to place the computer in Clean boot and then try installing the Program.

Window 10 Requires Admin permissions to run programmes

Windows has updated itself to latest build on PC.

All of a sudden when i attempt to run most of the programmes i get an error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000e5). Click OK to close the application"

Applications that do not open include Office, Media Player, Microsft Edge

Some apps do work ie notepad, Chrome.

For those applications that do not open and get error message I can run if i run as "Administrator" which is weird as the account i am using is a member of administrator group.

I do not use PC much as I mainly use my laptop which updated fine. But my son does mention that he thinks he got the error message prior to upgrade.



Someone suggested from an elevated Dos session run "sfc /scannow" which took ages but came back with no errors.

Any idea what i need to do to fix?
