Windows 10: Unable to save a cpp file in Windows\ system32\drivers

I am unable to compile a c++ program in command prompt.When I write g++ file.c - o file.exe,I get a response which says that the file is not saved under Windows\system32\drivers although I have saved it under the same.Please help!!

okay ive done the same thing as you but i cant put the file back into the folder

• Copy nvlddmkm.sys in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5518e59e8d3b48f4\ to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and replace the existing one.

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

Please answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

  Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
  
• 
  Have you installed all the pending updates on the PC?
  

Suggest you to save a file in notepad to test if that helps.

Close all open windows and restart the PC to login to another user account to test if that helps.
