Windows 10: Unable to save to current location

My Epson scaner would save the scans in C:\Users\Andrew\Pictures\Scans.

So I created a new folder C:\Users\Andrew\Scans, and it worked.

Any idea what happened. Anything I can look at.

Did a Windows update change something, because this is not the only issue I have had saving stuff.

Save Current Location

You can place markers and save favorites in Maps. Simply tap and hold a location and marker will appear. If you want to save the marker in your list of favorites, tap the marker and then press the 'Add' button to add it to your list of favorites.



There are also a number of apps for this purpose in the Marketplace. Search for parking and you should find a bunch.



If you want to send your location to someone else, I recommend an app called
Glympse.

 

Save Current Location

Is there a way to save your current location? Let's say you want to save the location when you park your car. This way you can get directions to it. Another example is you want to meet back in the same location 2 hours from now. I would like to save
the time and place. Even better is to sound an alarm considering how long it will take to walk back.

 

Unable to Save Favorites in Maps app

• What is the make and model of your Computer?
• Have you installed all the pending updates on your computer?
• Which Windows 10 build is installed on the computer?
• What happens when you try to save the favorites?
  
• Do you get any error message or code?

At first you have to sign in using a Microsoft account, if you have not logged the saved favorite’s will be not be visible next time when you open Map app.Also make sure Date, Time and Region are
set correctly.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

• Open Map App, Search for the location.
• On the left pane Click on the Star Icon to save your favorite place.

If you are still unable to save favorites on your computer follow the below methods.

• What happens when you try to save the favorites?

• Make sure Date, Time and Region are set correctly, try to restart your phone and check if will be able to Save the Favorite location.
• Also check if there are any update available for this from Store>Menu>Downloads and updates>Check for updates.
