Windows 10: Unable To See This PC As Well As Other Computers On The Network.

Hello all


I am getting very frustrated. I had to rebuild a laptop and a desktop. I have win 10 pro ver 1809 on each.

Services

DNS client is running and automatic

function discovery provider is running and automatic

function discovery resource is running and automatic

SSDP discovery is running and automatic

UPNP device host is running an automatic


Network adaptor

IP4 network setting advanced wins net bios over TC/IP is enabled


Network sharing

turn on for all networks


firewall is turned off on both pcs


Windows features

smb1 selected

client for nfs selected

smbdirect selected



I trolled to web for solution and performed to following


netcfg -d and rebooted


At this point i do not know what else to do. What am i overlooking?

Unable to browse network computers.

We suggest creating a new administrator user account by following the steps
here. Make sure to use the same network settings that you used for your other computers, then check if you can connect to the home network. Since you also mentioned that Windows 10 was freshly installed on this particular computer, have you already downloaded
the latest updates? The latest build for Version 1607 is 14393.1715, and 15063.608 for Version 1703. You can check the build version of your computer by following these steps:

• Click Start.
• Type winver and press Enter.

If you don't have the latest updates, you can follow these steps to install them:

• Click Start.
• Go to Settings.
• Click Update & security.
• Click Check for updates.

If that doesn't work, we'd like screenshots of the network and file sharing settings of the computer that doesn't work, and the settings of one of your other computers that can connect and share files properly on the home network.

 

My PC is not listed in Network

I am very grateful for your help

1 was not enabled. I enabled it and restarted the HT-PC, but now the HT-PC is not visible in Network list on any computer.

...then i run 2 and both was true.

Next step?

 

Help needed with simple wired network

Step one- Connect all PC's to router, and then the router to the modem. PC's go to router by the ports labeled "1-4" on the back of the router. WAN port goes to router. Power up all network equipment, and then systems.
Step two- Power on the computer connected to port one. Go into router settings at 192.168.0.1 and configure internet, dyndns, firewall, etc.
Step three- Go to "network set up wizard" in windows. (Network places- network set up wizard). The rest is self explanatory.
Step four- right click on each drive and printer you want to share, and then configure sharing preferences. Should be easy enough.
Step five- right click my computer, and the select "map network drive". Using the network address for each piece of hardware you shared, assign network drive letters.
