    Unable To See Thumnails In Windows Explorer After Upgrading From T5i to T7i.


    So I just upgraded to a T7i from my t5i. With the T5i I had to download a microsoft codec pack to see the thumbnails of the RAW files in windows explorer. I have yet to find a codec that will work for my T7i in windows explorer.


    I can view the images in LightRoom, and in Irfanview, however for moving files around to certian folders, I prefer to be able to see the thumbnails in windows explorer.

    I contacted canon, and they said they have nothing, that I needed to contact MS about it.


    Has anyone found a way to do this?

    Windows Explorer Replacement?

    are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

    I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue Unable To See Thumnails In Windows Explorer After Upgrading From T5i to T7i. :p

    File explorer slow with loading thumnails and files


    Step by step guide:
    1. Hold Win+r to open run
    2. Type msconfig and hit ok or enter
    3. Click Services
    4. Navigate to Windows search (you can sort the list in descending alphabetical order)
    5. Uncheck tickbox
    6. Click apply then ok
    7. Select to restart now

    Hope this works for you.
