Windows 10: Unable to Select Phone Link to Open SMS Links

I received a message on Phone Link, with an SMS link. I clicked ont the link and I got a screen that said "Choose an application to open the SMS Link". See SMS Link Open Screen.jpgWhen you click "Choose Other application" it opens up a directory where youc an point to the App, you want to use. However, Phone Links is a Universal App, and there is NO DIRECTORY you can use to fill in this screen:See SMS Link Open_Directory.jpg This is a glaring error. How can I tell the system to use Phone Link to open SMs links, if I can't point to it from the "Choose an application" popup screen?GOOGLE SEAR

How do you forward a SMS text message (if possible) from the Phone Link app?

 

Phone Link App does not open/start

I have already tried these steps, and just tried again now.

I additionally tried to run Repair as well as Reset, but the App still does not run.

I had seen the post from the link you sent here, but found this not very useful, as some of the instructions suggested do not seem to exist on my Windows edition, and also require the App to open to get to the suggestions listed, which I am unable to do.

Just to clarify, I am running Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2.

  Google Play Store (on Android phones) to a Microsoft application that links your phone and computer.
  Install the application.
• Once it's installed, open the application and follow the instructions to try out your first cross-device experience.
