Windows 10: Unable to set a billing address

It lets me select an adress, and when I click save, it says it was successful, but it's still saying "no default address".

I understand you want to update your billing address. Let's work on that.

To update your preferred name and address for billing, shipping or taxes:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.

2. Select Payment & billing > Address book.

3. If you’re updating an existing address, select Edit. If you’re adding a new address, select Add a new address.

4. Select Set as your preferred billing and shipping address > Save.

Note: The steps above may vary based on your country/region.

If you're still not able to do this, it's best to contact the Customer service since they have the tools to change this in case you're not able to do this on your end.

removing billing address in microsoft store

thanx for the quick reply dan!

unfortunately, it didnt help.

i tried removing the paying method in payment option and re-adding it, but the issue was really with my address book. when i went back to the address list, the billing address still reverted back to the old address... and i still dont have the option of
deleting it (though i have no subscriptions, btw)

any other options?

I am sorry to know that you are prompted to add a US billing address.

This issue may occur if the region on the system is not properly set.

I suggest you to change the region on your system.

1. In search tab type "Region" and press enter.

2. In new window select "Administrative"

3. Then click on "change system locale"

4. Select the language.
