Windows 10: Unable to set login PIN in windows 10 machine ,im using local domain

Unable to set PIN in windows 10 machine ,one of my system windows 10 connected to local Domain ,domain successfully added,everything works fine but unable to set 6 Digit PIN

Created local account, but unable to login.

I am trying to create a local account on my Win10 Pro machine. I have gone through the various steps and have an account created, but I have no option to login to that account.

I can see the user in Local Users and Groups (not disabled), but the name does NOT appear on the login screen. Furthermore, the login screen gives me options for email + password (not applicable) OR username + PIN (no option to create a PIN when creating
a local user). Even if I type the username and "Forgot PIN", it says the username is not valid.

I'm pretty much out of ideas.

Ok. Figured it out... there is a group policy that, by default, turns off local users on the login screen when the computer is attached to a domain. See:

Question for some1 with windows domain knowledge

The cached mode allows a login to the local machine in the event that the domain server is unavailable. They will have access to everything on the local machine, but (obviusly) the server resources will be unavailable.

Since you have two servers, you should set them both up as domain controllers, so that if one goes away (for whatever reason), the other can still authenticate the users.

 

Windows 10 default login method set to local / domain

I am currently trying to implement the following configuration for the Windows 10 login as part of a project. The last logged in user will not be remembered for security reasons (done) and at login the option Local / Domain Login should be displayed as default. The use of Microsoft accounts e.g. for Office 365 should not be restricted. But at the moment the login with Microsoft Account is shown as default. I have already tried the following settings:

Local / Domain as standard method

There is only the option to select "Password" as the default method. This excludes smartcard as default. But Microsoft Account + PW is the default sign-in option anyway.

Denying Microsoft accounts at login is only possible if you also deny the use in Office 365 and Co.
