Windows 10: Unable to set up my pin and can't login to my computer

Please help. I am trying to access my computer. It says I need to setup my pin due to security reasons. It won't let me do that because it says I am not connected to the internet. However, it keeps giving me an error that I am not connected to the internet but I am. It says in the network settings I'm connected to my router by ethernet. I even tried wifi and it isn't working. Any suggestions. Thanks

Unable to login using The login PIN

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the pin and check fi it helps.

• In the login page next to “PIN password option”.
• You will find “Other sign in options”, click on it will prompt you for regular password.
• Enter regular password and login to the computer.
• I suggest you to click on the Start Menu
  and select settings.
• Now select Accounts.
• Next select the tab Sign-in option.
• Under the “PIN tab” click on “ADD” option.
• It will prompt you for current pin password and new password, please provide
  new password then apply the changes, restart
  the computer and check if it works.

OSK PIN login on non-touch device

Hello,

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.

Unable to login to the computer after setting up OneDrive

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when things do not work as they are supposed to. Since you have logged in with your Microsoft account to OneDrive that is why you are getting the email address and PIN prompt while logging in
to the computer. If you remember your Microsoft account password, you can use the Microsoft account password to login to the computer.

Please follow the steps mentioned below to login to the computer using your Microsoft account password:

Method 1: Using Sign-in options

On the login screen you will find the option to either login using PIN or login with the Password, please follow the steps:

1. On the login screen, click on Sign-in options
   below the password text box.
   
2. Select the option Microsoft account password.
   
3. Enter your Microsoft account password to login to the computer.
   

If the above Method didn’t help, try Method 2.

Method 2: Log in through safe mode

You can boot the computer in safe mode and you will be by default asked for the Microsoft account password, you can login with your Microsoft account Password and then remove the PIN. Please refer the section

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10 to boot the computer into safe mode.

Once the computer is booted to safe mode, login to the computer using your Microsoft account password. After logging in to the computer navigate to
Settings >> Account >> Sign-in options under PIN click on Remove to remove the PIN.
