    So I have a personal U2F device https://thetis.io
    I am trying to set it up with services such as GitHub, and Cloudflare, and google.
    The issue I am facing is that the U2F device is not utilized and instead, windows forces me to set a pin for something akin to a "keychain" for U2F keys,
    Basically a built-in version of U2F.

    This is not a good feature to have enforced by default. Maybe if there is no such valid device plugged in, but I am unable to even use my key, the light does not blink like it should while I am setting up my key, and instead, I am prompted for my login password to windows,

    FIDO / U2F Support in Windows 10

    Phil,

    I have been looking for more info on this as well. But haven't found anything concrete. So far what I understand is that Windows 10 can FIDO UAF / FIDO U2F authenticate into other services that talk FIDO for Authentication, but you can not use FIDO U2F Security
    Token for logging into Windows like you would on a ChromeOS device. So Windows 10 is acting as a FIDO U2F / UAF device.

    Security Services Intercepting Windows Updates

    We have been hacked by the UK security services, long story. Why I do not know. They have intercepted the Windows 10 insider downlaod package replacing the new more secure Edge with an older version. The version we downloaded (very recently) did not contain
    any of the new addon options. Similarly we suspect that they are intercepting Windows Updates. is there anyway that some special security can be built into the latest update to guarantee the integrity of the update. We have had to turn the automatic update
    feature off to protect ourselves.
