Printer Sharing In Windows 11

Hi Ivan,

On your Step 3, by "automatic", I assume you mean "Standard". So I select "Standard", and I can't see the shared printer by Windows 11 on my Windows 10 PC.

 

Windows 11 Add Printer not working for shared network printer

Hi,

I have just installed windows 11 after some intrepidation i am delighted with windows 11. So far all is working perfectly. Except one issue. we have a shared network printer connected to another PC. when i go to "Add a device" selecting add manually add a network discoverable printer. The printer shows up in the list. Select the printer then next a get "Windows dosen't have a network profile for this device" i have the latest updates and the network profile i have tried private and public, same result.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Printer Sharing In Windows 11

Hi, here's my situation:

I got two (2) PCs in my workplace, Windows 11 and Windows 10. Both are connected to a same network. Both PCs are set to be Private Network, and not Public Network. I already enable File and printer sharing on both, Private Network and Public Network in Control Panel. I already disable Password protected sharing in All Network. I already allow File and printer sharing in Firewall and Network Protection in both systems.

I got a printer, Canon imageCLASS LBP6030. This printer is connected to the Windows 11 via USB, and already enable printer sharing for this printer. So, I open Network folder in the other PC, the Windows 10, it can see the printer that has been shared, but failed to connect. Here's the screenshot that I take for your reference:

This problem really pissed me off. It happened before between Windows 7 and Windows 10. Now, it's happening again between Windows 10 and Windows 11. Please, don't suggest to uninstall any Security Updates. If I want to get into a building, I want to do it properly by following the steps and procedures, not by killing the guards.

Please, help me to get this solved.
