Windows 10: Unable to Sign In Microsoft Store "Microsoft account doesn't exist" Despite Being...

HelloI'm hoping someone can help with a Microsoft Store issue I'm having. In all other Microsoft apps Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. I'm successfully signed in with my account info and able to use the apps. However, when I noticed that I was signed out of the Microsoft Store, I get the following issue when I try to log in with the same credentials: "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account." Using the Sign-in options doesn't utilize options supported by my company, so they aren't helpful. Any info suggestions would be great. thanks!

I do in fact have an existing Microsoft account and if I go directly to Microsoft, everything works. The problem is clearly at Step 7 of the process of, "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead." I don't know why this is happening.

Yes. When you sign in to the Store with a Microsoft account like in step 5 in Option Two of the tutorial below instead of switching to a Microsoft account you will and stay a local account.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
