Windows 10: Unable to Sign in to My Laptop, Button is Not Working

I just bought a new laptop, and was working on setting it up. It was working fine for a while, until it crashed and I had to restart it. The initial restart happened when my computer crashed after I tried logging in to my microsoft account in the accounts in the settings. The screen on the sign in page seems to sometimes go between my windows dekstop background and a generic one, and it now has my name as my microsoft account profile rather than the computer user that it displayed when it was working, so I think it has to do with the microsoft account. I removed the computer from my devices in

• Which Windows build version is running on your device? Type winver
  in the search box and press Enter to help you identify.
• Have you made any recent changes on your device prior to your concern?

As an initial step, we suggest that you create a new user and check if you'll be able to sign in to your local account from there. To create a new user, you can follow the steps provided on this

link.

Unable to sign into Windows

1. What is the error you get while trying to sign in?
   
2. When you say ‘0000’, are you referring to a PIN?
   
3. Is it a local or Microsoft account, you use with Windows sign in?
   
4. Do you see any other sign in options like password, fingerprint or facial recognition?
   
5. Do you see any options on screen to reset your password?
   

If you are using the Microsoft account with Windows sign in, choose password option under sign in options and type in the Microsoft account password and let us know if it works.
