Windows 10: Unable to sign in to my Minecraft account on windows 10

Hello,I have a problem signing in to my Minecraft account on windows. I have purchased the app in the Microsoft store and am signed in to the store, but whenever I open Minecraft it won't let me sign in. I keep getting told to buy Minecraft because my version is not the full game.

I can't sign into my Minecraft: Windows 10 (Microsoft) Account

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• Are you facing this sign in issue with any other app?

• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform the steps sequentially and check if you are able to access Minecraft Windows 10 edition.



Step 1: Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter: Select the
Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.



Step 2: Reset App

1. Press Windows + I key to open Windows
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps and select
   Apps & feature from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll and look for the Minecraft app.
   
4. Select the app and click on Advanced option.
   
5. Click on Reset and once you see a tick mark, then relaunch and check.

Unable to add a device to Microsoft account

Ideally, when we sign in to a device using the Microsoft account, the device is already added to the Microsoft account. However, as you have mentioned you are unable to add the device to the Microsoft account after removing it. We would suggest you
to try converting the account as a local account and then converting it as a Microsoft account. This should add the device to the Microsoft account. Kindly refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Accounts and select
   Your info on the left pane.
   
3. Now, click on Sign in with a local account instead and follow the on-screen instructions.
   
4. Once the account is converted as a local account, sign in to the account, go to settings and click on
   Sign in with a Microsoft account.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to convert the account. Once the account is converted as a Microsoft account, the device will be listed in your Microsoft account.
