Windows 10: Unable to sign into Microsoft account due to needing a "Windows password" after a factory...

My laptop has been factory reset and updated to Windows 11 due to me sending the laptop to be repaired. I am trying to log into my Microsoft account but it is not working. The first screen which involves signing into Microsoft is okay and the password works, but the second screen saying "we'll need your current Windows password one last time" does not accept the password I used for the first screen. When I am on my Microsoft account there is no option for a Windows password so I cannot find a way to get past this screen and no option of how to proceed so cannot log into the Microsoft account o

Since, you have forgotten the user account password we will not able to help you related password scenarios due to security purpose. The best what I can suggest you is create a new user account and transfer all user profile data’s to the new user account.
Once you transfer all the data’s to new user account you can convert the user account to Microsoft account and delete the old user account (If you want).
You can also follow the below steps to transfer all your data’s to the new user account.

• 
  Open file explorer and double click on
  OS (C.
  
• Go to Users and try transferring all the data’s/file to the new user account.

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.
