Windows 10: Unable to Sign Into Microsoft Account through Windows 10, Microsoft Store OR XBOX on PC NOT...

Hello,


I've never had a problem with my Microsoft account on windows until today. Simply because I want to play Sea of Thieves.


Anyway, when I try to sign in to my Microsoft account via the Microsoft App Store, I just get an error saying that they can't, try again later.


When I try to sign into my Microsoft account through user system settings, I get a grey pop up for a brief second where I believe it will ask me for my sign in info, but it disappears before anything happens. Finally, I try to sign into Xbox Live Xbox on PC Beta and I also get a try again later or a blank, froze popup.

The Above Picture is the Grey Pop Up that I believe should have the username and password options to sign in, but it just disappears after hanging for a few seconds.

This is all very frustrating. I've updated windows, I've tried online tutorials to reset the microsoft store, I've tried rebooting into safemode even when using safemode with networking, it says there is no internet. It doesn't see my wifi connections when in safe mode with networking and nothing works.

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

Yes. When you sign in to the Store with a Microsoft account like in step 5 in Option Two of the tutorial below instead of switching to a Microsoft account you will and stay a local account.

[WINDOWS 10] Can't sign into my Microsoft account! Windows Store is missing!

Hi Isaac,

We suggest you to follow the below given steps and check if issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + R key to open Run
• Type wsreset.exe and press Enter
• Restart the PC and sign in with Microsoft User account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.
