    Hi all,Windows Update gives error: 0x8007042cIn the Settings app, I can no longer access the Network and Internet subfolder double click and nothing happensAll Windows applications give the message that I don't have internet access, so none of the Window trouble shooters workI scanned my laptop Toshiba Satellite P-50-127 running with Windows 10 with the Microsoft Security Scanner and with McAfee LiveSafe full scan, everything seems fineWindows Firewall doesn't give any error messagesno action requiredI already ran the repair.bat program as suggested, but this resulted in the fact that

    error code 0x8007042c when running Windows Update

    I am getting an error code 0x8007042c when trying to run Windows Update in Windows 10. Microsoft says the problem is with the Firewall or Defender. Both are fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
