Windows 10: Unable to start old Windows PC after reinstall

Unable to start wife's old Windows PC after reinstalling due to hardware fail. Why did MS lock me out-I didn't forget my pin!!! Is this their asinine way of inappropriately accusing me of stealing a copy of the OS again? All I did was try fixing my wife's pc that I purchased with Windows 7, with free upgrade to Windows 10. Hard drive failed so set up her user account on my old Barbone systems so she could have MS account access. Then, today, tried logging into her old system to attempt salvaging more data and got repeated "incorrect pin" message, etc., unable to use or access. I di

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

I realize that you need the old Windows start menu. I will try to help you with this issue.

You can click the hash icon located above the 3D Builder icon to check if that helps.

Suggest you to follow these steps to check if that helps:

  Press Windows key + I to get the Settings screen.
  
• 
  Click on Personalization and click Start.
  
• 
  Enable the feature for “use start full screen”.

Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.
