Windows 10: unable to transfer data from android phone to pc

i am not able to connect my android phone to pc via usb cable and can not transfer date code 28 showing again and i am not able to install drivers online i am using windows 8.1 please help me how i can fix

• Have you tried to connect the Android device to PC using an USB cable?
  

However, you may follow these steps to check if that helps:

• Connect the Android device to the PC using a micro USB cable.
  
• You can see an ‘AutoPlay popup’ on your PC once your phone is successfully connected and recognized by the computer. Click on the ‘Open folder to view files’ option.
  
• Copy and paste the files or folders that you want to recover from your phone's internal memory to your PC.
  
• When the steps are done, you can successfully recover and transfer your data from Android phone with broken screen to your PC.
  

Alternatively, if you have the data saved on an external SD card, then you can plug in the card to the PC to transfer the data. You may need an adaptor to read the SD card on the PC.

How to transfer files/pics from android phone to PC via BT?

No. That is totally unnecessary. @NavyLCDR in his post did not show all the steps. Here is what he left out... Connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable On the phone swipe down from the top to show notifications Locate the USB notification and open it

In the USB settings make sure Transferring files is selected.

Look for your phone in File Explorer

If you you double-click on it and nothing is shown that means you forgot to unlock the phone's screen

After you unlock the phone's screen the phone's storage will be shown

Double-click on the storage will show the contents. The phone's photos and screenshots will be in the DCIM folder.

 

Unable to transfer data from PC or other phone to Nokia Lumia

Greetings, I have a similar problem. I just got hold of a new Nokia X phone. i have been unable to transfer any data ie

contacts, photos, msgs etc saved in the Nokia PC suite onto the new phone because the PC suite does not recognise the Nokia X. Can anybody suggest what is to be done to transfer data from any older Nokia phones onto the X? .
