Windows 10: Unable to transfer license after upgrading to win10. What a scam.

I bought a windows 7 license many moons ago and like many people upgrade to win 10 that has been running using fusion on a Mac that’s 13 years old. Only used to run my financial software only because the Mac version is horrible. Decided to finally upgrade computer. When I tried to move my license from my old Mac to the new system it won’t let me. Says that I need to buy a new license, called Microsoft no easy task, multiple layers to finally get to a human being. After talking with entry level and supervisor, I got nowhere. They claimed that the upgrade to win10 is for only that machine bec

How to transfer Win10 license correctly?

No, you don't need to transfer any licenses.

If you upgrade your Win7 Pro to Win10 it will get a digital license for Win10 Pro in it's own right, based on having a qualifying activated Win7. Although MS have said the free upgrades have ended, quietly behind they scenes they still will be activated.

Use the Media Creation Tool to make an install USB then use Step 6 in this tutorial.

This is how the contract between the customer and Microsoft works:

• If you start off with an OEM license and upgrade to Win10, then your license remains permanently tied to the original device onto which it was installed. The subsequent Win10 license may also be directly transferred to another user, but only together with the original licensed device.
• If you start off with a Retail license and upgrade to Win10, then your license may be transferred to a new device owned by you as many times as you like, as long as it is not running on more than one device at any given time. The subsequent Win10 license may also be transferred to another user, but only if (a) you are the first licensed owner, (b) the new owner agrees to the EULA and (c) you have removed the licensed software from your device prior to transfer.

How does one transfer a digital license of Win 10 from one computer to another?

I have found online how to transfer from one computer to another a boxed version of Win10, found information that it's not possible to transfer license if Win10 is upgraded from Win7, but can't seem to find what to do in case of digital licenses.
