Windows 10: Unable to Transfer Windows Pro License to a New PC

Hello,I purchased a Windows Pro license from the Microsoft Store and was using it on my old PC. Now, I want to transfer this license to a new PC that currently has Windows Home installed.I have already removed the license from my old PC.On my new PC, the activation status shows that it is registered via a digital license.When I go to the activation settings and select "Upgrade via Microsoft App," it redirects me to the Store, but I only see the option "I have a product key" and the upgrade does not start.How can I successfully upgrade my new PC to Windows Pro using my existing license?Thank yo

Transfer Windows 10 Pro digital license to new PC build

I have built a new PC and I am trying to transfer my Windows 10 Pro license from my existing PC to the new one. Unfortunately, the license is not activating properly. I have deactivated the previous license by running the command "slmgr /upk" in an elevated
(Run as Administrator) command prompt.

I can see that the license is now deactivated given the fact that the old PC is now asking me to activate. I still cannot, however, activate the license on the new PC. The original license was a Windows 7 Home Edition license that I had upgraded to Windows
10 Pro for free over the past few years. I am unable to use that original license as it's for a Home Edition license and not a Pro. I was, however, allowed to upgrade to Pro when Microsoft was offering the free upgrades. I also transferred the license to my
Microsoft Account, so I do not have a product key associated with Windows 10 Pro.

My plan is to transfer the SSD and HDDs in the old PC to the new and not use the old PC. I am unable, however, to activate the new PC. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

I bought a new PC and read that I can transfer my Windows 10 license to it and I have a few questions.

Few years ago I used Win 7 Pro license to install my two PC's.

When FREE update came I upgraded both of them to Windows 10 x64 PRO.

Yesterday I assembled a new PC which will replace one of them and I want to transfer the license to it from the one it is replacing.

The question is if I transfer the activation license will I lose the activation on the second PC or not?

Transfer a Windows 10 license to a new PC

I have purchased a new PC and I would like to transfer Windows license from my old PC to the new one. I am using Windows 10 (which was upgraded from Win 8.1) on my older computer and is activated with a licence linked to my Microsoft account. On my new PC, I have installed fresh copy of Win 10 using Media Creation Tool. To activate Windows on the new PC, I attempted the following, but have not deactivated Windows on the old PC (deactivation procedure described here)-

Settings > Update & Security > Activation> Troubleshoot> I changed hardware on this device recently> Logged into my connected Microsoft account > This is the device I’m using right now > Activate.

After performing the above, I am unable to activate Windows on my new PC. Please help me with the following-

1. Do I need to deactivate windows on older PC first?
   
2. Does Microsoft entitle users to transfer licenses to new PC?
   
3. Is there anything else which I have missed out?
