Windows 10: Unable to turn on sound on laptop

I hadn't used this laptop in 2 weeks, but all of a sudden the sound refuses to work now that I am on it. Pressing the volume buttons does nothing for me, and the "more sound settings" on Control Panel and "all sound devices" on Settings have no devices for me to connect to. I don't understand why this is happening to me. Please help! :

It is possible that the
GPS chipset
is not working properly causing your location settings to be
disabled or cannot be turned on. Kindly run the
Hardware and Device Troubleshooter
and check if there's any changes. To run the
troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• 
  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting
  and hit
  Enter.
  
• 
  Choose
  Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Click on the
  Hardware and Devices
  to run the
  Troubleshooter.
  

If the issue
persists, we suggest that you contact your
computer/laptop's manufacturer
for further assistance.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
