Windows 10: unable to turn on the bluetooth in the Settings in Windows 10

I am unable to turn on the blue tooth in the Settings in Windows 10. It is refusing to turn on. Pl help.

I have fixed the missing bluetooth device on windows 10 with my Lenovo X220i Laptop by upgrading the BIOS from the Lenovo Support Page to the latest.

The bluetooth device fired up instantly after doing so.

Try upgrading your BIOS of your machine to the latest.

Mine worked fine even though the BIOS upgrade utility does not list Windows 10 as supported OS. It worked just fine.

to fix the issue

• Press Windows key to get the Start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting in the search box right up corner and hit enter.
• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

If the issue persists, follow method 2.

Method 2: Please
Update the Bluetooth drivers.

• Press Windows + X keys
  and select Device manager.
• Select Bluetooth and right click and
  Update the driver and check.

If the issue doesn’t resolve refer the manufacturer’s support website and download the drivers and install
and check.

After updating and installing the drivers follow the steps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Devices.
• Select the Bluetooth and Turn on the Radio button and check.

I have solved the problem! I just had to uninstall the blue tooth device driver and then reboot. It worked.
