Windows 10: Unable to uninstall "pokki"branded games

I am running windows 10 and am unable to uninstall various games that I never recall installing. Looks like they are all branded "pokki". I attempted to remove them in the control panel with no luck. Once i click unistall on anyone of them, it pops up my files, pc, system 32. Then I close it and try another and get the message to wait while ther other one finished unistalling it never does then I have to restart to attempt it again nothing else freezes up, just can't try to uninstall anything else. I tried going to systems, apps them clicked uninstall. Looks like it Starts for half a second them the unistall button comes back. Tried doing this in safe mode as well, with the same results. I have been reading through forums and answers with no luck what so ever.

Pokki will not uninstall

You can check the steps below on how you can permanently remove it and hopefully this will help to sort out the issue.

Method 1:

- Go to the installation folder of Pokki.

- Find uninstall.exe or unins000.exe.

- Double click on its uninstaller and follow the wizard to uninstall Pokki.

Method 2:

- Hold Windows and R keys to open the Run command, type in regedit in the box and click OK.

- Navigate the following registry key and find the one of Pokki:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

- Double click on the UninstallString value, and copy its Value Data.

- Hold Windows and R keys to open the Run command, paste the Value Data in the box and click OK.

- Follow the wizard to uninstall Pokki.

Method 3:

- Uninstall using 3rd party application/Revo Uninstaller.

- Download Revo Uninstaller and link will be below and install it.

- Once installer, open the application and look for Pokki and uninstall it from there.

Unable to uninstall Pokki apps from Windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and I am unable to uninstall the Pokki start menu apps without allowing the program to make changes to my harddrive. Since I know nothing about Pokki I do not want to give it this permission.

How can I uninstall these apps without giving hard drive access?

Do I need Pokki?

Pokki update

Hi Susan,

Was your PC originally Windows *, then updated to Windows 10?

Pokki is a utility used to add the missing Start Menu to Windows 8

You can safely uninstall Pokki from Control Panel = Programs and Features

Also check your Startup for that Pokki Updater:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

Click on the Startup Tab

See if Pokki updater is listed there

If it is, select it and click 'Disable'

Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services'

In the remaining list, see if Pokki updater is listed there, uncheck any you find

Click Apply and OK

Restart your System and this annoyance will be gone . . .
